We are starting off with cleaning basics. Everyone likes a clean home and of course our services provide this but we also know things happen between the times we come to your home and you need to clean up these messes.
We are going to go through every room in your house and explain how to maintain cleaning each room as if you do not have cleaning service. By doing this, I do not expect you to suddenly start cleaning you house. Most of you have a cleaning service due to time constraints. What I am hoping is that by going through each room, you will learn some tips or change some habits to make things easier for you.
Maybe a simple idea as moving a laundry basket can make you morning more efficient because you don’t have to use a set of stairs for the twentieth time that morning before work and it doesn’t make you late any long. (Okay that might be far-fetched by you get the idea!!)
The first thing we are going to talk about is supplies. Even if you are using our services, you need to have supplies of your own. 4 Corners will use our own unless you otherwise state it but you will have things to clean up between visits.
So basic cleaning supplies you should always have on hand are:
- bucket
- dust cloth
- multipurpose cleaner
- clean rags
- glass cleaner
- dishwashing liquid or dishwasher detergent
- toilet brush
- vacuum
- For cleaning non-carpeted floors, you might want one or more of these: broom, mop, and dust mop with washable head. Have at least one, especially if you do not have a vacuum.
So make sure you always have these items on hand in case you need to use them. These are the bare minimum items. Most people have more than this.
As we continue, we will go through each room. Some rooms don’t have as much as others. Every room is unique in what needs to be cleaned. We will also discuss about cleaning up after pets. Pets all have their own unique cleaning and the equipment needed for them.
